Jhalawar was
founded in 1838, when it was separated from Kota. It is
blessed with a rich culture, lush terrain, dense forests,
diverse wildlife, exquisite pre-historic cave paintings and
imposing monuments. The countryside is breathtaking with red
poppy fields and orange orchards. Jhalawar is a bird watchers
delight as there is a large bird population and numerous
migratory birds visit it during the winter months.
