The Nawalgarh Fort is an old fort. Within its premises are some lavishly painted "havelis" or mansions including Anandi Lal Poddar Haveli, Jodhraj Patodia Haveli, Bansidhar Bhagat Haveli and Chokhani Haveli. The Roop Niwas Palace has been converted into a hotel, which combines the medieval ambience with modern facilities.
